I
have an ak-47 and if I wanted to upgrade the spring, do I also need to upgrade
the bushings as well, since the spring is of higher tension?
We get this question
all the time and the answer is, it depends. Now let me say many people will
argue you don’t need bushings. Technically, they are correct. If you
go with the Systema M100 spring, you generally don't need bushings. If you
go with the M120, I personally recommend bushings. Some websites say you don't
need them, but why take chances? Bushings are a good addition to increase
the longevity of the upgrade. With hard play and an M120 spring, you are just
asking for trouble in the long run. While you have the gearbox in pieces,
the bushings are really a snap.
Upgrading a gun
is more than just spring work. You have lots of options and should let us
know your style of play as well as your budget. We can mix and match to maximize
your AEG strategy. We don’t sell package upgrades because every customer
is unique. We match the upgrade to your style of play.
If
I get the Systema m100, Oil-less bushings, spring guide w/bearing ver 2, and
the spur gear set high speed (ratio ZS-02-11). will it work in the M5 RAS?
What would the fps be?
Yes, it will
work in the M5 RAS. You should be up around 330 fps. Many factors dictate
those specifics. You spec’d a great setup, but while you’re there,
you may really need to consider a piston and head. For ultra reliability,
Aluminum piston and piston head is the way to go. For less wear and tear on
the motor, polycarbonate pistons and silent piston head set would be the hot
tip. This lighter set up may even get you a few more FPS, but definitely a
faster rate of fire.

I
have a question concerning my TM M4A1. My gun is basically stock except for
an m130 spring. Would my airsoft gun be able to take a 9.6v 1100 mAh Ni-Cd
battery without getting fried? If not, what would you recommend? And what
difference does mAh do to an AEG?
I'd recommend
a 9.6 at least and your gun could easily accept that and the 10.8v. I'd really
recommend bushings too. Your gear box will probably last about a year of hard
play with these batteries as the M130 is very strong. The mAh (mili amp hours)
designation means how much electricity is stored in the battery. The bigger
the number, the longer it will last on the field.
The reason your gear box will break after a year is the shock of the stronger
spring on the side walls of the gear box. Remember, your spring is 170% stronger
than the original spring. Go for a battery upgrade and you’ll really
notice the difference.

Hi my brother just upgraded his m5k to an m100
spring, and now it is shooting doubles, and bbs are falling out of the barrel,
we were wondering if there is anything else he could upgrade to stop this
from happening. Thanks.
First of all,
you don't need to upgrade anything at all. There is some type of other problem,
but I'm sorry to say that without looking at the gun, I can't know the problem
for sure. A bad M100 spring won't cause those kind of problems, so it may
be in the reassembly process. Sorry I can't be of more help without seeing
in the gun.

Regarding
Airsoft Springs-- I thought that the internals for the M24 SOCOM Sniper Rifle
were metal, and could withstand the shock from spring upgrades?
Spring upgrades
are outside of the design limits of the gun. If my body weight went from 150
lbs to 225 lbs overnight, my body would have lots of problems. The same thing
happens when you put in a 150% spring. The difference is that my body can
build muscle and grow bigger to handle the stress of 225 lbs. The metal in
the M24 cannot build muscle. It is designed to function at about 300 FPS.
It is my opinion that the spring only upgrade would do fine for a while but
it would not last long without the other upgrades. That's the reason we sell
the whole package of parts.

Do
you guys carry the Full tune up kit for the M4A1, titanium nitrate barrel
for M4A1, reinforced gearbox for M4A1, and would the classic army silencer
fit the M4A1. I have seen the silencer and was wondering if it would fit my
M4. Thanks for your help.
We carry in stock
the KM Titanium barrel for the M4A1.
We have had good luck with the Systema reinforced gearbox. It's excellent
and the best one on the market.
The Classic Army silencer (Socom style) will fit your M4A1 with no problems. But remember, silencers may be illegal in your community. Check with local laws.

I
just recently discovered Airsoft and was curious to know, during gameplay
at your location [or any other location], do the participants actually use
the plastic bb's during combat? Or is paintball?
It's not paintball
at all. The AEGs fire at a rate of about 12 BBs per second, so you are motivated
to call yourself out. The Milsim Tactical Field have referees to help. But generally speaking, it’s
a game or honor played by those who like military simulations.
I am familiar w/paintballing and that if you get hit, you actually have something
visible that shows it. I wasn't sure how it was for playing Airsoft.
Players call
their hits, like an honor system. At the Milsim Tactical Field we have referees that
help with this process. It's not a perfect process, I must admit. However,
people who want to play know if this system breaks down, there is
no reason to keep playing for any of us.
At the Milsim Tactial Field, we actively remind players they need to call their hits
and we'll pull players from the game that don't. We also run games all day long, some with regeneration. So if you get out, you'll never wait long to play again.
